It is almost impossible to pronounce, hy-a-lu-ronic acid, and it also sounds very chemical, but Hyaluronic acid is a super effective, natural substance that can do a lot of good for your skin.
What does hyaluronic acid do?
Because hyaluronic acid can retain so much moisture – 1 gram absorbs more than 6 liters of water – it is an ideal addition to a cream. The fat from the cream takes the moisture into the skin and hyaluronic acid keeps it in the skin. Moisturized skin gives a softer and smoother appearanceand is part of a healthy skin condition.
What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic acid (or: hyaluronic acid) is a substance that occurs naturally in large quantities in various places in our body, for example in connective tissue, cartilage, nerve tissue and in the fabric between our cells.
It can hold a lot of water and that is exactly what you are trying to achieve with your skin care. But that is also the most difficult at the same time. Your skin is lipophilic, what means that it easily admits fats, but not hydrophilic, so water is not just absorbedthrough your skin. Understandable, otherwise you’d be walking around like a Michelin doll every time you relax took a bath.
Where does the hyaluronic acid come from?
In the past, hyaluronic acid was extracted from mohawks. Fortunately, nowadays a vegetable variant. The hyaluronic acid in Chicory Skincare products is of course free from animal material.
It is extracted from sugars after a biofermentation process and has the same molecular connection and positive properties.
Hyaluronic acid is in all Witlof creams
Because it has such a nice effect and helps very well with dry skin, or a skin condition again, we benefit from all our creams (Nourishing Facial Cream,
Refreshing Eye Cream, Nourishing Day Cream SPF 30, Tinted Day Cream SPF 30)* added hyaluronic acid. Logical right?
