Recognising dry skin

If you have dry skin, you may notice flaking or peeling on the skin’s surface, along with some redness and a rougher complexion. It may also feel itchy or tight, particularly when spending time outside in the cold weather or after taking a hot shower.

To take care of dry skin, you must ensure that the skin barrier is healthy and intact, so that it is able to retain as much moisture as possible. This will result in a softer and smoother skin condition. Ceramides (or the skin’s own lipids) can be found in our Rich Facial Cream and can improve the function of the skin barrier, resulting in less sensitivity, better hydration and damage repair. Rosehip seed oil and Aloe Vera, found in many of our products, are both a great source of vitamin C and can stimulate the production of elastin and collagen, which will keep the skin looking fresh and youthful. Rosehip seed oil can also be excellent for reducing and smoothing wrinkles.
