“I used a lot of chemical creams. By now I know that healthy nutrition and natural skincare products do much more for me.”
We had the honor to interview actress and TV presenter Jennifer Hoffman. Jennifer has a passion for all things that are Sustainable. She is always looking for more sustainable way to travel, does not buy fast fashion and thinks about what she puts on her skin. We talk to her about skin care, food and natural skincare.
How important is Clean Beauty to you?
Under Clean Beauty I understand as naturally as possible. Honest and pure. In terms of food, lifestyle and skin care. Why would you use unnatural remedies if nature has already come up with so great?
What's your skincare routine? How important is a routine?
In the morning I was first my face with cold water, in the evening with warm water, a warm cloth and the Cleansing Mousse. Then I spray the Balancing Toner and first spread 4 of those delicious drops of the Regenerating Oil Serum on my face and then I do the Rich Cream On, which makes my skin poodle in the night. For the day I use the Nourishing Day cream with SPF And a touch, so I immediately look a lot better. Or as my friend says "Wow, you look great this morning". That should perhaps just be called that cream 😉
When did you start using skincare and has it changed over the years?
My Skincare has changed enormously in recent years. I have been bothered by hormonal acne since I was 25 and I have used all the resources you can imagine. Especially a lot of chemical creams and pills that only did symptom control. I now know that good nutrition and natural skin care products do much more for me. Being kind to your intestines and being kind to your skin, we learn that too little.
What do you think of the Witlof Skincare products and which are your favorite?
I also love other natural skincare brands, but Witlof Skincare is my favorite. The regenerating Oil Serum and the Rich Cream are so terribly tasty. And the Nourishing Day cream with SPF too. And the Refreshing Eye Cream too. And the cleansing mousse. And the Silky Hand Cream! Which I don't have with me at the moment.
At Witlof Skincare, we’re convinced that a healthy skin is the foundation for a better one. Achieving that doesn’t happen overnight, so we believe in long‑term care rather than quick fixes. How do you feel about that?
We are always looking for fast solutions, we want immediate results. Because society has made us believe that that is possible. Fast Food, Fast Fashion, Social Media. Direct satisfaction. Quick fixes. But at that speed we destroy the earth and we find no permanent solutions.
Good things take time. And there is value in that. Nature takes time and we are nature. So if we all learn to have more patience again, the world would redecorate that. And probably your skin too 😉
