NATURAL SKINCARE IS GROWING AND SHIFTING FROM A NICHE SEGMENT TO BECOMING MORE MAINSTREAM. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS?
It's great, of course. Everything we use in skincare and personal care ultimately ends up, to some extent, in the water, so the more natural the products we use, the less impact on the environment. Additionally, it's better for the skin and our bodies.
HOW DO YOU USE WITLOF SKINCARE IN YOUR WORK AS A MAKEUP ARTIST? WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR EXPERIENCE?
I mix the Nourishing Facial Cream with the Balancing Toner. This allows me to give the model's face a good massage and ensures that their skin is well moisturized before I start with the makeup.
DO YOU USE WITLOF SKINCARE FOR YOURSELF? WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PRODUCTS AND WHY?
For myself, I use the Cleansing Mousse, although unfortunately not on the models because washing can be challenging. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and soft.
YOU ALSO HAVE A 13-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER WITH TROUBLED SKIN. SHE STARTED USING WITLOF SKINCARE. WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR/HER EXPERIENCE?
She has been using it for a month now. She uses the cleansing mousse and the toner. Her skin is better hydrated, although being a teenager, it's still a bit troubled, but less so and better moisturized. Her skin has definitely improved.
WHAT DO YOU CHOOSE?
Quick results or slow (but sustainable) improvement?
Sustainable improvement. Quick results often come from additions that you may not want.
Cleansing Milk or Cleansing Mousse?
For models, cleansing milk is more convenient, but at home, I prefer mousse.
Recycled plastic packaging or Glass packaging?
Glass packaging is often heavier and breakable. So, I would choose plastic as long as it is as sustainable as possible.
